Famous for Lina Bo Bardi's suspended concrete-and-glass building, MASP holds the most important art collection in the Southern Hemisphere. In December 2007, thieves broke in and stole Picasso's 'Portrait of Suzanne Bloch' and Cândido Portinari's 'O Lavrador de Café' in under three minutes. Both were recovered weeks later.
