Housed in the Palais de Tokyo, the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris was the site of a 2010 theft in which a single burglar — nicknamed 'Spiderman' — slipped past a faulty alarm and stole five paintings by Picasso, Matisse, Braque, Modigliani, and Léger, valued at around €100 million. The works are presumed destroyed.
