Eric Hebborn

British painter and master forger of Old Master drawings who fooled leading experts and auction houses for decades. Unrepentant, he published 'The Art Forger's Handbook' detailing his techniques; he died in Rome in 1996 in still-unexplained circumstances shortly after its release.
